BFree Procurement Manager – Ireland

Description:

A rapidly growing Irish-owned multinational business that creates great tasting wheat and gluten-free products.  It is expanding globally with significant business in Ireland, the UK, Europe, USA, Middle East and Australia.  The pace of growth requires a procurement manager in order to drive cost-saving initiatives and develop great partnerships with our existing and future supply base.

Based in BFree’s R&D centre in Dublin, and reporting to the Technical Director, the responsibilities of the Procurement Manager are set out below.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate supplier prices, commercial terms and T&Cs for ingredients, packaging, manufacturing and premixing
  • Manage the primary cost base of the business to ensure lowest possible cost of inputs
  • Identify new suppliers and conduct tenders for new suppliers as required
  • Execute cost-reduction activities across production, ingredients, packaging and logistics
  • Ensure continuity of supply
  • Contribute to new product development from procurement perspective
  • Project-manage initiatives in the supplier base, e.g. pack changes, supplier changes
  • Provide spend visibility (historic and forecast) by supplier and category insight/ analysis
  • Transition newly negotiated supply arrangements to business-as-usual owner
  • Provide accurate supplier and pricing information to the finance team to update costings regularly
  • Ensure suppliers are compliant with BFree policies

The Candidate:

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong analytic skills
  • At least 3 years’ experience in program negotiation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • FMCG experience essential
  • Strong problem-solving skills
