Tomato Sauce
  • 1 onion diced
  • 4 garlic cloves crushed
  • 2 tinned chopped tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp. EVOO
  • 2 tsp Tomato ketchup
Toppings
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tbs capers
  • ¼ cup black olives sliced
  • Handful basil leaves
  • 2 balls of vegan or regular mozzarella
  • extra virgin olive oil to drizzle
1

Add the chopped tomatoes, ketchup, salt and pepper to season. Bring to a boil and reduce to a low simmer for 10-15minutes.

2

Check for seasoning and using a handheld stick blender, give it a little blast to make a smoother sauce. Don’t overdo it we aren’t looking for a soup. Return to a very low heat, and stir in the EVOO, leave until you’re ready to serve.

3

Pre heat the oven to 180°C

4

Prepare all the toppings you wish to use, either from the list above or your own selection.

5

Spread each base with a thin layer of tomato sauce, top with mozzarella, capers, chilli flakes, olives a few basil leaves and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

6

Bake in the oven for about 20. Minutes until the base is crisp puffed up and the cheese is bubbling and golden.

7

Serve with extra basil leaves.

I just tried the new BFree Oat Loaf and was so pleasantly surprised. It is the first bread I have had in the 10 years of being Celiac that actually taste like real bread. The crust is tender and the chew is very nice. I ate a turkey sandwich without toasting or warming it. This bread is amazing. Then I tried it as toast with butter and was just as happy. This is my new favorite bread. It’s actually my favorite bread because other breads have only been tolerable 😄

Just wanted to say how much we love BFree products in our household. Having celiacs, and finding amazing products that make everyone happy has been so wonderful. We recently tried your sourdough and we were so impressed. Cannot wait to try more new products you have!

They’re expensive, but taste very good. My son is allergic to a lot of stuff and he loves these. I tried them and they’re really good, given that they are free from most common allergens.

Hooray for gluten-free and egg-free bagels! I was thrilled to find gluten free bread that does not contain egg or egg whites. These bagels are very good. I will definitely buy again!
